Anyone know why the classified ads don't seem to be working? On my computer at least, I can't find any clickable links on the 26M section.

Re: Problems lowering mast on 26M
I could only get the base of the mast about halfway to the bow pulpit...thus the mast stuck out an extra 8-9' or so out the back. But it worked. Cheers, Jim[/quote] Thanks Jim, I don't think I would want to travel very far with the mast sticking out the back but it would be nice if we could simply l...

Re: Problems lowering mast on 26M
Yup, my baby stays are connected the same way as in c130king's picture. I am surprised to see the boom is left on during lowering. Any problems with the boom binding when the mast is lowered?

Re: Problems lowering mast on 26M
Highlander, I'm really interested in seeing what your setup looks like. Did your mast raising pole not come with the wire baby stays?
Puggsy, your idea sounds great but I'm having trouble visualizing. Any chance of pics?

Re: Problems lowering mast on 26M
Sorry for taking so long to respond, just got back to my computer. I'm assuming that "baby stays" are the wires that run from the mast lowering winch to the stanchions. I have them but they don't make a lot of difference. I don't think using bungees to lessen the mast swing will help, ther...

Problems lowering mast on 26M
I purchased an 06 26M this summer and had a relatively enjoyable time with my share of rookie mistakes. I have put the boat away for the winter and am already looking forward to next spring. One problem I continue to have is when lowering the mast. In the slightest wind over even just from the off-c...

Re: Battery Drain problem
djbroughton, Not enough information in your post to understand your battery wiring set-up. You have the two negatives tied together, which is correct for an "either/or" type set-up, but is that your intent? As far as your current usage, what size battery do you have? Group 24, 27, etc? Gr...

Battery Drain problem
I purchased a Mobicool cooler for my :macm: because they were such a great deal at Canadian Tire this week. I would like to get an Engel but just can't justify the $600 plus compared to $80. I also replaced my number 2 house battery and spent the night on the boat with the cooler running. Both batte...

Re: Water storage choices
Thanks all for your replies. I think we're going to stick with the 5 gallon collapsible jugs for now. I tried hooking up to the manual pump but found it doesn't want to work and seems pretty junky. Just using the KISS principle and dispensing right from the jug.

Water storage choices
I just purchased an 06 :macm: and discovered that there appears to be no built-in drinking water storage. My boat has the galley with built-in water pump but it simply ends with a 1/2 inch plastic hose inside. I have searched the forum archives with no success. I will probably use collapsible 5 gall...

26M Sunshade
I have recently purchased a used 26M and am having difficulty setting up the sunshade. Does anyone have any photos of the sunshade setup or instructions for same? I also have the bimini which I can figure out a couple of screened pieces with zippers which appear to mate with the bimini somehow. Can'...

Re: Can't find my post
I tried searching my user name for posts but strangely can't find the one I most recently added regarding "insurance".
I have since received a reply from the person who sent me the reply I was looking for. Thanks all.
