Heath is aware of the problem with the Mods section and will be working to brig it back up. Time frame unknown.

I will assume that you will be "Towing" with your "tow vehicle", so... 8)

many "mods" done over the past 9 month on the "tow vehicle" - is that a fair subject to post on or must it be about the 'trailer' only or 'towing' only? :?

Re: any mods / suggestions for reducing heel in a 26x?

Let the Admiral handle the mainsail sheet. Make sure it is uncleated and show her how to let it out to reduce power and heel and how to pull it in to increase power. After awhile, when they feel and understand what is happening, they will become more comfortable. Worked on our boat.

Re: I hate to say it...

I've PM'd Heath (and emailed, since it looks like my PM didn't get sent - it still sits in the outbox, and not in sent. Although it says sent at 9:41 AM this morning.... Ray put it well. It's doubtful that this site will go away. Facebook isn't ever going to replace it. The fact that your PM to Hea...

Re: I hate to say it...

Guys, you are right - work and family demands have kept me from being able to do everything that I should to manage this board. The vast amount of knowledge here should be preserved, and I think it should definitely be turned over to somebody with enough time to keep it thriving. Anybody interested...

Re: New Tow Vehicle; Size Constraint

Tow Beast Thread Didn't there used to be a "tow beast" thread? I've been towing my 26S with a Mitsubishi Delica. It's been adequate, but only just. The Delica is nearing the end of its life (frame rust, not due to towing) and, at the same time, my wife and I want to go down to one vehicle. I would ...

Re: Thank You Health for getting the forum working again

I could say that the way it is now makes my job as a Moderator a cake-walk, but I agree with you Russ. I just don't have the time to do it. Why don't you make Heath an offer he can't refuse. It would be wonderful to see the site updated and come alive again.

Re: Need rigging diagram, Venture 21

If you haven't already looked at the manual, it is available HERE. However, I doubt that there is any standard way to rig the running rigging anymore, because most of these boats have been customized and re-customized far beyond anything that came from the factory.
Good luck.

Re: Ruddercraft rudders for the 26X

One, or two members of the forum have reported that the Rudder Craft rudder has snapped off in heavy seas. To be fair, we have heard about OEM rudders and brackets also breaking. Rudder Craft was formerly sold under the Idasailor brand, so you might want to search with that term.
