Re: Back in the water
Congrats on being back in the water. ..... Next time I will rent a compressor and do it my self with a harbor freight air sander. That is THE ONLY way to sand boat bottoms. Period. Sumner, I saw your version. I like the versatility, but I was wanting to create a version that would store over the sink. As usual...you are the gold standard. It is always good to get your feedback. Re: Solar (again) with ACR
....Next set up will be to connect batteries in parallel as one bank and eliminate combiner. I carry a NOCO genius boost in case it is drawn down too far. +1 If one uses the ACR I'd run all the charging sources to one battery and let the ACR take care of the other. That seems to be the preferred me...

Boat, Ricard has a 26S. I don’t believe there is a wheel. If I’m wrong, I’m sure the correction will arrive swiftly. :) Ray Correct, according to his signature he has an S. Hopefully comments related to X's and M's haven't confused him. With the S point the back of the tiller and outboard tiller in...

Re: Reversing in the marina
I have a Mac 25 and have always reversed using both the outboard and rudder. It makes the backing up process very precise. In all honesty, I wouldn't know how else to reverse as precisely without using this method. The above works perfectly with the 26S. You can back and turn the boat in its own le...

Re: Help getting a Bimini
How do you have clearance between your boom and your bimini? I realize I've only sailed on my old boat with blown out sails, but on my boat I have to be careful of boom smacking the poptop. I can't imagine adding another structure to worry about. New sails are in the budget for next season though, ...

They tried this before a few years back and had to give it up.
