I cut two pieces of 1" s/s tubing approx 18-22" long then inserted two 7/8 s/s tubing approx 4" long inside the top ends 2" deep leaving 2" protruding & riveted each one with 3/16" S/S rivets, drilled out the bottom holes in the tubes to match the original bottom hole positions in the original mast ...

I use these about 6-7 ft up on the shrouds don,t have to strain my neck lookin way up the mast & I also have a raymarine wind

Hi I,d say that was caused by way to much pressure on that halyard likely from using the winch which should not b used for tensing the halyard that tight , it only needs to b tightened enough by pulling by both hands if needed & or when that double cheek block was added either the S/S fender washers...

I,d would say it was totally impossible for even a slightly filled ballast tank to freeze & cause a crack because as long as the water has somewhere to expand as it freezes it just travels the easiest route I had water coming in at the same location only when it rained & my dodger was removed I was ...
