Your lucky day. I have one listed on Craigslist. It is off my 1977 V25. The assist spring is broken on this one, otherwise in good shape. I am in Sparks.
PM me if interested.

Go into "User Control Panel" just below Board index in the lite blue panel . UCP is on the bottom left. Edit profile.

Here is a fancy one welded to a bracket the boom attaches to you mount to the mast.
Thanks,

Re: Styrofoam floatation in 1985 Mac 25
I am planning to remove some foam from under the V berth to make room for a water tank. Plan to figure out how much weight the individual blocks hold and do the same with a "swim noodle" and put the correct amount back in. I am sure they will nest up a lot nicer than the blocks just cramme...

Reefing hook
Hi all, When I got this boat it had the hook that secures the pop top down in the bracket the boom goose neck attaches too, I guess the PO used it for reefing. I have returned the hook to its original purpose. Now I need to ask if anyone can guide me to the correct size and configuration of the repl...

Re: 26S standing rigging tension
Re doing standing rigging as we speak. 5/32 wire from Defender and upgrading to turnbuckles from Marine part depot. Going to be under 1/2 the price than
WM would be. I would like to borrow that "Peaches Gauge" for sure.

Very nice. Go for a V25, or 26D when the time comes. Still no "smilie" for the V25.

Re: Loose or tight?
Thanks,
I found a relief (under all the bottom paint) that was cast into the keel that runs at about 40 or 50 degrees implying cable clearance, so I went with snug
and can rotate. Then I found a broken leaf spring.....

Re: Introduction (+ questions abt Venture 25 & boat restorat
Hey, I might mention that I have been working on my 1977V25 for a long time. What I did with my junkey wood was cleaned it up with the afore mentioned elbo grease, then two coats of epoxy and three coats of varnish. It looks good, seasoned wood has a special look. Before you go to much further check...

Loose or tight?
Hi, Changing the keel cable on the V25. Simple 1/2 hour job.....Wrong! PO had plastered 3/16" of bottom paint over the hardware. Lesson learned, DON'T DO THAT! Hardware was installed so tight it crushed the cable eye thimble. Now my thoughts and question: :? One would think you would want the t...
