Genoa cam cleat
A nasty gust yanked out the port side nifty track mounted cam cleat that I use to control my Genoa. I bought a pair years ago, don't remember where. I think the person's name was Bill????? BWY carries a version but theirs are straight whereas these are angled port and starboard. Need a left angled o...

Re: Anyone Fitted an Air Head Composting Toilet to an M26?
Have a Nature's Head. Fitted in front of the "bench" for head room (no pun intended). Had to remove the door and replace w a curtain that crosses over to the port side, totally eliminating claustrophobia. Vent is just above the gunnel behind w a downward facing fitting. Have not had any in...

Re: Anchor locker Motor well drains - freeze proof them?
I dump pink anti freeze through the sink until I see it come out the drain. Then I pour some into the motor well as well. Then plug the motor well drain, tarp the boat, charge then disconnect the batteries. Close up the tarp and wait for spring. 3 years ago my sink hose cracked where it joins the mo...

Re: Buzzards Bay Ramps?
Excellent! Thank you, I will check those places out. Years ago pre-Mac I chartered a boat and visited Westport. I remember the spacious ramp. I believe a parking permit can be had by contacting the town clerk.

Buzzards Bay Ramps?
Taking a year off from Lake Champlain. Want to smell saltwater again. 5 years ago we put in at Wareham MA. The parking area was small and crowded and trees hung up my mast. However we had a wonderful week sailing Buzzards Bay, visiting Cuttyhunk and other places. Wondering if anyone has experience w...

galley sink replacement
While I have the galley in the workshop (hatch, pump and faucet install) I'm thinking to cut out and replace w/ stainless bar sink. Drop in sinks seem to eat up too much space. There are however a number of undermount sinks that would fit the bill. Wondering if I could glue the flange of an undermou...

Re: 26M galley removal
Thanks, excellent advice! Appreciate the forum! So many times one can go down the rabbit hole only to find out they've screwed something up and that there was a much easier route that others have taken.

26M galley removal
Planning on cutting a hole for a hatch on the aft end of the galley. Last time I cut into fiberglass the dust was not good. I thought I could just slide it off, nope something stops it. Wondering how others have dealt with this issue. I thought removing it outside where I could cut a hole and instal...

Re: Summer Mooring
5 years ago I rented a mooring that was relatively unprotected from weather somewhat similar to your situation. Worried about chafe I attached the mooring bridal to trailer eye using a heavy carabiner. Aside from minor difficulties unattaching the beaner the set up seemed OK ... that is until I got ...

Re: Mac 26D - Bottom, Barrier Coat & Antifoul
In preparation for keeping Andaluz at a marina (fresh water) for the Summer I had a barrier coat applied to guard against blistering. Had an anti fouling ablative coat put on CPP from Tiffanys, I mean WestMarine. Seems to work really well with just a washdown at the end of the season 3 years now. Ju...
