Re: Trailer brake issues

Drum brakes on that. Something may have locked up in the drum and forced the piston back. I'd pull the wheels and drums and have a look

Re: Cabin floor giving in - solution?

I didn't do the repair myself. A local repair place did it. They replicated the non skid pattern pretty well. Fairly standard fiberglass work involved.

A tip Ray from Blue Water Yachts gave me was to run a line from the bow to stern. This becomes a grab line.
Jump off the dock and grab this line someplace and pull the boat in.
In the MYCBC club it is actually referred to as the 'ray line'. 😀

When going thru checkpoints coming back from the BC coast, as soon as they hear I been in the ocean they give it a quick visual and send me on my way As well... Members as well. Calgary AB. We try to participate in one water event a year. Longest has been ten days. It's about 1000 km tow thru the mountains but we do it because it's so worthwhile. And the dock parties... The addition of online meeting with zoom for the winter club nights has been great.

Re: M forestay

I'd be concerned about the abrasion at the contact points of the furler with a Dyneema forestay. A hank on sail might be Ok but I wouldn't use it myself with a furler. I plan on doing the lifelines with Dyneema at some point

Will they let you put anything in the water? What about a railway type track rather than worry about how to get wheels over and around rocks etc

FYI The main landing page doesn't display properly on my phone (android) in portrait orientation. I can only see the menu items for forum etc by turning the phone to landscape

The number one thing that could be done to help this site is to give to someone one cares about it! Shameful what has transpired here. No excuses. The people that have been around a while are trying to hang in but its been probably a month or more since I visited last. New users give it a try and gi...
