Issue with new trailer

I received a new trailer from super sport marine and when I pulled the boat out the front bunk is not supporting the boat, I have the winch released but it still is several inches too low.
I know I don’t want to leave it like this but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Loose Steering Advice

In what ways is the system "loose"? How can the wheel have a "lateral movement? Look at the steering cable which comes from the column/below deck/ into the cockpit. Turn the wheel. Does the cable respond? You should see where it is attached to the steering system in front of your eng...

Re: Replacing companionway & hatch slides

Here are a couple more pictures of how I did mine. I used butyl to seal everything back up. I found that putting a little ball in my socket was a good way to hold the nut in place while I wedged my socket into some spots. https://i.postimg.cc/1nbgV92h/IMG-20210425-192103.jpg After removing the top ...

I wish I had posted and seen this before I drilled an access hole for the metal screw but this was very helpful I appreciate the detail of this video.

Re: Replacing companionway & hatch slides

Please see the attached images the first one is of the inside of the bathroom where the liner is blocking access to the nuts for the bolts. I tried to drill one out but the other is not as useful (red mark shows approximate location of inaccessible nut access point). I bought replacement rails from ...

Re: Trailer Shopping

I have purchased the super sail trailer for my Macx single axel and have not had any regrets. No more Mac bumb for me . I absolutely love it. Yes it still comes up short when I pull it out of the ramp but the winch will pull the boat up close to the v bumber every time . The back bunks are opposite...

Replacing companionway & hatch slides

I recently began attempting to replace my slides/ rails on the sliding hatch and companionway. I have ran into an issue primarily on the starboard slide on my 2000 :macx: . The issue is the bathroom bulkhead insert blocks access to to the plugs and bolts to remove them, I tried drilling a hole to ge...

Re: Chipped bottom paint

I found out my bottom paint chipped due to "boat pox"/ hundreds of tiny blisters around the water line. Other posts here note that issue but mine have never gotten worse. I was planning on having the boat stripped down and a barrier coat applied that should hopefully resolve this blistering.

Loose Steering Advice

I believe the steering system on my :macx: is stock and had some play so I attempted to tighten it. Now after the first sail of the year the wheel seems to be very loose and has substantial lateral movement. Is this something where I should attempt to just tighten it or do I need to replace the syst...

Interested in that too. Got pics or link to tiles?
Did you finish this project? I need to retile due to the tiles delaminating and was wondering how difficult it was.

Re: 26X Repower Questions

Focus on dealer support in your area. Which is best? 8) I am the original owner of a 1996 26X and still am using the original Honda 50HP outboard. It still runs great and have had to do minimal repairs over the 25+ years of ownership. With replacement parts (maintenance related) getting more diffic...

Re: Prop Selection Help

I apologize for the delay, I was off grid for the long weekend and was able to check in finally. The boat is a 2001 :macx: engine is 2023 Mercury 60 HP (Model ME 60 ELPT 4S EFI). Current prop is a Solas #1311-114-12. It looks like the next prop down is a 4 bladed prop.

Prop Selection Help

I recently had a new new Mercury 60 HP outboard installed and I am having issues hitting the WOT RPM range and the installer has been less than helpful saying what I reached (5,000 RPMs vs the manual range of 5,500 - 6,000) as good. I believe I am "over propped " and need to buy a differen...

To close this loop it was around 19.5" so a 20" shaft was sufficient. I appreciate everyone's help here it was appreciated.

Re: 26X Repower Questions

Is it safe to say that if I stay at 60 HP which is the plan, I will not need to add additional reinforcement I know the holes are relatively small? Do I need to be concerned that the old 2 stroke 50 HP manual says weight is 89 KG which is around 200 Lbs and the new 60 HP is around 250 Lbs? I am sti...
