Re: New trailer for 26M

Thanks so much for the info!!!!! We will be adding an axle due to the added comfort of being able to limp into a safer place in case of a blowout.

New trailer for 26M

I am in the market for a new trailer for my :macm: . I can't find it now but I seem to remember that someone had one built in the Raleigh Durham NC area. I was curious if anyone else may remember who or where it was. I would prefer aluminum dual axle. Our future has a lot of towing in it and I want ...

Re: Spring is in the air - or radio

Had just returned from a trip that included a stay in Minneapolis at -12F with 15mph winds. Mother in law lives in Eagle River, Wi. where bro in law just raked 4+ feet of snow off her roof 2 weeks ago. They have left an open invite to go ice fishing but I seem to be busy at those times. I have place...

Re: For those who like music while sailing

We went with the Bluetooth speakers. Don't even use the stereo anymore. I'm taking it out this year. Tablet or phone (in zip lock) n speaker are great to take to beach if wanted.

Re: Slip usage?

We really enjoyed having the slip for a couple of years. We tried the dry dock way but after a couple of times launching like that we went ahead an took the plunge and rented a slip. It has been in the back yard for modifications that are taking way too long due to life stuff for the last 7 months. ...

Re: Glue for 26X head door edging

Is Gorilla glue a polyurethane glue? I have used polyurethane glue to build small wooden boats in the past. Worked like a charm and easier than epoxy. If I remember directions stated use on damp surface and it expands.

Re: Limbs 1, Mast 0

It's with Progressive by way of USAA. USAA partners with Progressive who does the higher risk things. They have my motorcycles and boat. The what is a good question that I'm looking into as I think I am duplicating some coverage with Boat US. I'll know better after I get home this weekend. I think i...

Re: Limbs 1, Mast 0

New mast and furling system are here! Looks like I'm going to be the one to transfer parts from old mast to new one. Doesn't look as though it will be too hard. But noooo, job changes make to so that it may be a month or two before I'll have time to get on with repairs. Anyone have a semi truck for ...

Re: Deep Water Automatic Inflatable Life Jacket - $99

I had some of the same vacillation regarding self or manual inflating. I went with the self. If I go overboard and am in good shape I can easily undo the buckle shed the jacket and go below to help if needed. If I go over and am unconscious I am probably dead if using the manual. If the boat does go...

Re: New Radar Arch

Looks like the primary has a skull and crossbones on it. The secondary's appear to have an eagle and one has an oak leaf on it. The main appears to be on the mast under the spreaders with the others on a back stay or shroud maybe......
