Re: Tieing off the Clew of the Main Sail.

I get it now! Also.. the main sail has a Shackel at the Tack , should I use that, or just attach the tack grommet directly to the mast? AD If memory serves, I think I used that to get the boom up another inch. Was hitting the dodger with Highlanders ridged vang install. If he's mounted that track a...

Re: Finally In The Water

Glad you're on the water Re fuel lines, the line from the tank to the extension including the hand primer is brand new, Aug 2019 Idle might need adjusting, have ran carb cleaner through each year and after a good long run, still a bit low for my taste. Line running from extension back to motor is ol...

Re: Bow in Mast.

Bow in the mast is from being stored 1 season with no pin in the foot plate to keep the mast from rotating. That allowed the mast to turn and subsequently bow without a support in the middle. Added pin, kept mast from rotating while stored, no more sag in the middle. Also, when you put the mast up, ...

Re: What goes here? What is this for?

Pin is mainly used for when the mast is down, or being raised. Once up, remove pin To rotate the mast under sail, just pull back on the main sheet That will rotate the mast when the mainsail has load. Tack, load up the main, again pull back on the main sheet and it will rotate to the other side No b...

Re: Tieing off the Clew of the Main Sail.

It is that length, because it had to be for the deep reef. At full main and no reef, there is a lot of rope left over. At 1st reef, there will be less At 2nd reef, there will be just enough to do the trick, reaching all the way from the aft of the boom, through the new clew position and back to the ...

Re: 26m Aft Cabin Cushion Question

That looks like a nice option. Although I do like the "cut out" for the cooler idea. Andrew Dont use that area for your cooler Trust me Keep a heavy cooler on the floor Right beside the dinette in even with the keel I put the cooler in that aft berth cutout once, ...... ONCE! Never again....

Re: 26M Vang Question

Hi AD Your mast will rotate. Keep the brass pin out, after removing from the bow from trailering. I used that pin to keep it locked out as I found no benefit to rotation and was problematic at best. However, if you want to, keep pin out and after tacking, pull back on main sheets between boom and tr...
