I bought my boom tent from

Works great, easy to use and does not make a lot of noise. I did take it down when we had our 60 mph winds last week

I would like to thank all of you for all of your replies, it has helped greatly. I am going to proceed to do the electrical in the right way. I have ordered the 12v and 110v wiring marine grade from BestBoatWire and will be ordering a 110v panel from Boaters World. This will be my winter modificatio...

What is No-Ox is this a non conductive grease to cover electrical connections? What are you guys using for a distribution panel? Marine or I was thinking of a simple 4 gang breaker sub panel and using the 30 amp breaker as the inlet then feeding 3 15 amp breaker to my GFI outlets I will be using a 3...

Thanks for your replies. I may look at replacing the foam this winter as a project, for now I just brought them home yesterday since I am only a few miles from the marina. I am running 2 of the De-Humidifiers and 2 of the Eva-Dry units now since I am hooked to shore power, the electrical 110V will b...

Marine quality components, are they needed?
I am sure this posting will have lots of different responses but being new to boating and looking at installing 110v outlets for shore power and future generator I am wondering if “Marine quality electronics” are needed. When looking at shore power and adding some 12V outlets, 110v duplex GFI outlet...

Cushions and Condensation
With leaving my 26x in her slip on Puget Sound and all of the rain we are getting, and a few leaks I have, I am seeing some condensation under the cushions. My question is do most of you remove your cushions for the winter and store them in the garage or just elevate them and try to keep them dry? I...

Chip, Did you put in 3 separate switches or do you have them all hooked up to one switch and each pump on a separate float switch? Would it be advised to put a 3 position drum switch inline to select each switch when engaging manual run mode? I would not want to run a pump dry if that bilge area has...

Chip, thanks for the photo, for today with all the rain we are getting I ran the line on the port side into the sink line with a back flow valve. AI will change it later to run like your photo shows and I will be adding the additional two pumps. My question if you can help me is what size pumps did ...

Thanks Chip, The pumps would have a float switch not a automatic system. Your right I might as well keep battery one on to have the 12v lights work while under shore power. Question for you, what locations did you place your pumps at and did you plumb the lines into the sinks or new thru hull fittin...

Bilge pump hook up
I think this will be a simple question but I thought I would just ask to make sure. I am going to hook up a bilge pump and automatic valve on my 26X, maybe two of them on each side but in hooking up to the 12volt system while I am under shore power, should I hook up the pumps directly to the batteri...
