Re: End of season approaching

Larry, I feel your pain, but since we have had no time on our Mac (first time in 15 yrs.), I am jealous of your five days :D Just try to keep the heeling at 10-15 degrees (let the main sheet out a little); she will get used to it, in time :) I’ve got a cousin in Sand Point, Idaho that we were planin...

Re: Help identify Honda BF50

I'm trying to learn about my new to me 1998 26X and it's powered by a decent running Honda BF50. I'm trying to figure out the year my engine was made so I can get any routine maintenance done on it. I had my local Honda dealer run the serial number stamped on the stern bracket and it shows the engi...

Re: Question about interior carpets

Here is a photo of my replacements on my 2005 :macm:

They’re hemmed, and not glued down.

Don’t be afraid to be adventurous. Grrrrr :D

Re: Early 26X has 2 ballast valves?

When the :macx: does arrive, please photograph all of these valves; I, and others would appreciate it. A picture is worth a thousand words, and all that.

Re: How to search members by location

That is an excellent question.

One used to be able to do that, but I don’t see how now.

I will ask Russ.

Re: Me and my sailor

Summa cum laude BrynMawr, indeed. Another one of my underachievers Her last three months have been in a Durham UK but she has managed to tour Scotland a lot. She picked up a soccer game with a bunch of boys not used to ladies playing, knocked them all down and then bent the back of the net. There i...

Extra safety never hurts, but I’d still use the bolts.

Re: Just purchased 26M, Any 26M owners here in Austin?

I don’t have a photo ( will take one in the morning), but my :macm: has a 7/16” bolt through each rudder when trailering; they can’t come down. The lines through the rudders secure them in place, but those bolts take the tension off of the rudder ropes. I have a 2005 :macm: ; do the newer models not...

Re: Just purchased 26M, Any 26M owners here in Austin?

Thank you Starscream, that is reassuring indeed. It doesn't seem to move around on me once I have her loaded. I did notice that the rudders have a place for a quick pin for road travel so I need to get me a couple of those. My fear is showing up to the dock and finding one of them ground down to a ...
