Cape Charles Sail 6/21-23/2019

Compromise and Storm Walker are putting in at Cape Charles this Friday. We'll be staying at either the Town Harbor (waiting for a call back) or Kings Creek. No particular sail plan. Would like to revisit the concrete ships to the South, depending on the winds. Not sure if there are MacGregors in the...

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

Dan finally got his 26M Triangle trailer done. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27070

Reports better towing and NO sway.

That means they can make trailers for both models now.

Re: Replacement Motor

They talk about the 70HP which is the same weight as the 90 and 115 merc. It's not just weight that needs to be considered but the force (in-line and offset) a more powerful engine will exert on the sern. If you're underway and that stress causes hairline cracks near the waterline... you've got tro...

Re: High Pressure Fuel Pump Failed on 2010 Suzuki DF90A

The Suzuki is ridiculously easy to fix.

Crazy what they charge for their time.

Wish car and planes were the same.

High Pressure Fuel Pump Failed on 2010 Suzuki DF90A

High pressure fuel pump failed on 2010 Suzuki DF90A while pulling away from dock. Easy diagnosis after the fact. Crack the high pressure banjo fitting on top of the fuel rail and turn on the key. No spray check the voltage which is only on for 3 sec key on (cost me several hours of research). Watch ...

Billy Box

We've had this unit for at least 6 years. Works AWESOME! Had to turn down the AC last weekend, too cold with a 5000 BTU unit. Paid $60 on sale for the AC. Picture with rear glass installed. Really adds to the experience looking outside and watching everyone else sweat :D The Billy Box also makes a g...

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

First trip on the new trailer last weekend.

Wow! No problems towing, launching in shallow water or single hand retrieving (first time auto center).

No sway, no tire rubbing just no problems anymore.

Fully loaded the boat and towed with confidence. Disk brakes worked great!

Thanks Triad!

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

The bow roller does reduce how far you need to dip the tailer since the bow can roll up instead of digging in like K9Kampers wrote. I noticed key features missing on the pdf: side rails extended up to the hitch for better stregnth, cross bracing, lengthened trailer for better support, axle moved bac...

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

Just heard from Triad today. "Finally! I’ve finished up the pricing file which is attached. The same trailer as yours is going to start at $3,990.00. There have been a ton of steel increases over the past couple of months which really raised the pricing. Everything on the trailer is pretty much stee...

Re: Sail replacement

Got new custom made tri-radial cut sails from Precision Sails one one month previous. Have not had time to open the box. Precision sails was great to work with for sure. We webex'd and they showed their CAD program making changes to the sails as we changed parameters. Super patient. Also mention the...

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

Final report. Just picked the trailer Friday after 2nd round of design improvement mods. Perfection! The wider axle, narrower fenders, extremely turned up rear corner bunks and goalpost side pads allowed Compromise to center and not hit the fenders with no help, first time! Solid 1" fender clearance...

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

Fitting 26M to new trailer. Danhux family showed up with their 26M at Falls Lake, NC to test fit their 26M on the new 26X Triad trailer. Mike (Triad owner) took a lot of measurements and pictures. Mainly the bunks needs to be steeper. Otherwise looking like a working solution. The 26M trailer was su...
