Excellent Tom. Glad you can make it.

That gives us so far:

Interlude
Syzygy (via Facebook)
Compromise
Knot Shore (via Facebook)
Wind Wager

and I'm confirming some additional boats who have responded via Facebook.

Yep, once we get familiar with the boat... Want to head south after the new year for sure. Need to train the crew and the cat!

2015 Holy City (Charleston, SC) Roundup 23-25 October

The 4th Holy City MacGregor Roundup is on! Your host and hostess will be Bob and Lynn onboard SV Interlude. There will be a slight twist this year as we have purchased a new boat and have found a new home for our 26M (SV Syzygy). The prospective buyer is local so Syzygy will be with us but with a di...

I'm tired just reading about it. Glad it ended without incident.

Re: Superiority of the MacGregor

Today I drive 7 hrs to VA to observe a survey on a Catalina 380 which I have on contract to buy. We had several "wants" in our next boat. The two most important where... 1) The Admiral wanted to be able to be able to stand up when she changed clothes (in other than the 2' X 4' footprint at the botto...

Re: mac federal documentation

To add to the outrage... Our outboards are also taxed in South Carolina...

There's no advantage to documenting a Mac in my opinion. Unless you're concerned that your boat will be impounded by a foreign country on one of your trips. :D :D

Re: June breaking rainfall records

You don't have to remind me of the records this month. We've been on the Erie Canal for almost 3 weeks and didn't move for 15 days because the canal section between locks 23 and 25 were closed. Had to get a Canal corp boat to escort about 30 boats last Friday out of no mans zone going west.

Re: Bad mast day

We have a saying upon returning to the dock. It's been a great day.... nothing broke and nobody got hurt. I'll break things all day long as long as I (or a member of the crew) can tell the tale later...
Good luck with your mast hunt!

Re: Crossing the Gulf Stream....

Great example of why it's important to take set and drift into account when crossing. Especially when the Gulf Stream is running about as fast as we are.

BWY Customer Service

Kudos to Todd and Ezra at Blue Water Yachts. I'm doing a hub and brake overhaul on my aluminum trailer before I trailer 3 days to Syracuse for my Erie Canal/Lake Champlain trip. Todd made sure I was getting all I needed and Ezra is getting the parts here in time to complete the overhaul. Thanks a bu...
