Agree with the run time on the fridge. I'd be using a dual battery solar controller. Like this one from Amazon but rated higher...

Thanks Russ... I bow to your 12VDC fridge experience :) . Your draw is probably more realistic. My concern is that the panel would not be able to keep up with the fridge if I split the charge between the two batteries.

The fridge is rated at 0.7A - 2.5A. So I'd say around 1.0A to 1.5A is probably safe with continuous use.. We will probably not go more than 5 days without going dockside with shore power.

I've read the threads... done the web research... seeking opinions on my solution. Current configuration is 2 Interstate deep cycle 77.7 AH batteries at 5A draw on a perko selector switch. I typically switch batteries every day. Neither is dedicated house/start. I want to add an Engel fridge and 100...

Oops... Flood on Saturday which means we can sail on Saturday... and probably motor on Sunday back to Southport.
