Re: Video 26M in sub arctic gale force winds

Hats off to you dude! We've done the Saguenay in a much larger boat as crew and it was awesome also. Love to go back in our :macm: some day. What a trip you've had...... wow!

Re: 2016 Ontario MacGregor Sailors Rendezvous

Standing in my garage, watching a deluge of rain, waiting to hook up and go. :( Same here Tom! Weather radar indicates a window shortly. We're hoping for a 1pm arrival - rain or shine. Gabe's hoping your Admiral will be coming along this year. As our house is only thirty minutes away we are putting...

Re: 2016 Ontario MacGregor Sailors Rendezvous

Tuesday's the day for us, but we're definately going to win the dirty boat award this year. At least I can blame the huge weather we've just had for not busting out the pressure washer and scouring off the pine tar. We just did lake Muskoka for three days, but couldn't find Justin Beiber's house and...

Re: Universal Prop Hub

That's a nice job Kurz! My Suzuki prop has a rubber hub around the splines so I think it would have to be pressed out. Did you have it balanced?

Re: All purpose asymmetric spinnaker

Tom, is that the standard rule for a second masthound height using the existing bow attachment point for a spinnaker? Would you alter that if a bowsprit was involved? I'd like to retain the option of a smaller jib flying in front of the genoa when not choosing to use the spinnaker (which I don't ha...

Re: Unintended rudder modification

BOAT, I'm probably talking in the order of seven to seven and a half knots given a hull speed of around six knots. I've observed a deflection of up to about two inches under these conditions. It comes back to the stops under that (which is 99.5% of the time). I could make it even stiffer but I would...

Re: Swim Platform Mod

So I've now had a couple of separate uses of the system and have to regard the uphaul pulley attached to the mast arch as a fail because it flexes too much and would probably begin to bend if I pushed it too much. My workaround was running another line from that to the boom pulley attachment bracket...
