For easing sailing tenderness in a MacGregor filling the DB with lead shot and resin will give the greatest return. Assuming at the same time, the sand reinforced (ballasted) slot would take the full impact of a g...

Depending on where you are located, Dowsar Marine in Hamilton, Ontario will sell you a blank for $1000. Shipping can be problematic.

Swim Platform Mod

Some time ago I took note of several members swim platform additions. This resulted in an earlier posting I made following a destroyed mast and some musing about what to do with the left over hardware. http://www.macgregorsailors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23474 http://s1121.photobucket.com/user/...

Re: We are in Orillia today

Ris, sorry to miss you. We are in Niagara and won't be back until Monday night. Lock 43 (Swift Rapids) is our favourite overnight spot on the Severn side. Take a look at the lower side for berthing. It's secluded, out of the wind and a great place for a fire. All the best for the next stage of your ...

Re: Table Mod

The bar just unscrews from the upper bolt which stays put with a nylock and large washer hidden behind the interior liner. The original smaller bolt had a second nylock concealed under the actual hatch rail which I dispensed with. It bamboozled me for a while when I2 couldn't push it out to replace ...

Re: Table Mod

I still need to install two bungee hooks against the side liner. That heavy cooler is going to head south in a blow.
I'll put up some pic's soon.
