Re: bottom paint

I recently did the bottom on my26X. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who has a shop with a lift in it. We backed the trailer between the lift colums and used heavy duty straps under the hull. Lifted it off the trailer and hung it about 30" above th floor. Cleaned the mold/crud off with a wire...

Re: Transduce location

Just finished installing the transducer bracket on my 26X, Turns out the mounting bracket was pre-formed to fit a 3 1/2" pipe, (same as my ballast intake) it even had a slot for a hose clamp. First time I had taken time to inspect the bracket since recieving it from Lowrance. Made the little project...

Re: Fuel tanks

I measured my fuel locker openings today on my 2000 model 26X. (23 3/4" lg x 101/2"). Need a least 1" all around, thankfully plenty of room in every direction.

Re: Fuel tanks

The tank I bought is 24 5/16"Lx18 1/16"Wx10 3/4"H. BWY says the original 12 gal. design fit just fine, but the new design has a problem fitting the opening. I will try removing the cap, and putting the filler toward the outside of the boat.

Fuel tanks

I read somewhere that the compartments in the rear of the cockpit on a 26x will hold up to a 12 gallon tank. I would like to find a the largest tank possibile that fits these compartments. I bought a 12 gallon Mouller "low profile" tank that would fit the compartment if......you could get it in ther...
