Is your hatch whistling shrilly?

Wasps got you flailing?

Looking silly?

Give those pests a hearty wave.

Seal that hatch with Burma-Shave!

Re: *What Is It?* Actual question as I really don't know.

If there's no way to reach out to the previous owner for clarification, my hunch is that it could simply be a convenient companionway cover: no need to wrestle that big awkward fiberglass monster up and into place. Just loop the lines around those winches, roll her up and toss onto sliding hatch, le...

Re: Bow mounted roller anchor

If you've already got a bow roller handy and wrists like a squirrel monkey, then I guess you could go for that one with a good sturdy backing plate. I just went with the purpose-built roller for 26Xs from Blue Water Yachts for about a C-note as described here . I've got a big 6" PVC pipe held to one...

Re: Polar Diagram

Nah...I think he's talking about the wonky mathy stuff concerning lift forces of sails generally described here , but specific to the old Mac 25s. Re: Is this the boat for me?

OK, Now we are way off topic. I apologize for hijacking the thread. Ray P.S. Bloviate is not the correct word. Everything here is electronic. There is no spoken word. You tend to be verbose :D Nah, you're wrong mate. I most definitely "bloviate." To wit, Bloviate intransitive verb (pret. & past par...

Re: Is this the boat for me?

A disinfectant hasn't been made that would make me feel ok trying on ear buds I found on a park bench... :P Ix I'm just not as squeamish as you. H℮ll, at 200 bucks a stick, I might try sloppy seconds on your chewing gum. Besides, once I figured out what they even were, rest assured I gave 'e...

Re: Is this the boat for me?

As I said, he was good at marketing. Just remember, MacGregor never stated that a Taurus would tow the boat. He just showed a Taurus hooked up to a Mac. Good marketing. :D Ray Yes good marketing is important, Apple are the best marketers going, I mean I can't remember the last time I saw a Apple ad...

Re: Used V-birth Rear-birth pads avaliable in Dallas Tx.

[...snip] Shipping = I have no idea how I would ship the things. I imagine that if you were to just bring them in to one of those UPS Stores or similar they could square them away and get them on the road somehow. Suffice it to say that I am happy to cover all shipping and handling costs via PalPal...

Re: Is this the boat for me?

I could not possibly disagree more with the advise in this statement; while I guess a sailing class would help some if you've already sailed a snark you obviously have the basics down and in my opinion there's no other way to learn to sail a macgregor than sail a macgregor .. . Sailing is so much m...

Re: Is this the boat for me?

[...snip!] I live in land locked PA. I'm very close to Moraine State Park. The lake there, lake Arthur, is a little over 3,000 acres and is mostly a sailing lake with power boats limited to 9.9 HP. This is where I took the US Sailing 101 a few years back. They have a nice sailing club there that I ...

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

I've only been aware at all of the Tattoo in any size or form for maybe three years, but am I the only one for whom this whole topic of its return or lack thereof to production is beginning to seem reminiscent of the Kübler-Ross Model , better known as "the five stages of grief?" I'm not sure where ...

Re: Used V-birth Rear-birth pads avaliable in Dallas Tx.

If they've got covers, I'll very gratefully take the lot and am happy to send postage. I have no rear berth pads at all (just a few anti-fatigue mats), and the forward berth ones were homemade by the previous owner's wife. Just PM or email me if they're still available Thanx!

Re: Is this the boat for me?

Three pages in and with no clue to be found in his profile, I'm still wondering where "noboatnow" hails from, and just where exactly he'll be learning the ropes before setting off down the ICW to the Bahamas or Timbuktoo or wherever. I assume he's somewhere on or near the Eastern Seaboard, since he ...
