Trailer Questions

The 26x I purchased came with the factory steel trailer with titan 60 drum brakes. The lights are pretty much trash and the master cylinder on the system is trashed so I was planning on changing that and the solenoid, also the bearings as well, I am not sure the condition of the drum brakes. They ap...

Re: Bottom paint help/advice

I was considering getting it done professionally but it is relatively expensive for something I feel I could handle with some buddies on a weekend. Plus I am still in school so money is a little tight.

Bottom paint help/advice

So I acquired my 26x and I have no idea about the previous owner or what maintenance was done so I know very little about the boats history besides when it was made and that it has sat unused for the last 5 years. I was wondering if you all would be able to give me advice on repainting the bottom. I...

Re: Newbie question

I think whats confusing me is that the only wires that I have found running to where the battery appeared to be was two thick wires which i assume are for the outboard. I assume there should be other wires there also. I was thinking about going with an accessory and a starting battery, do I need to ...

Re: Newbie question

So do you have a battery for starting and a battery for other items like the radio and what not? I guess I am trying to plan on how to lay out and wire them.

Newbie question

I was wondering if I have to install shore power and if so what would you recommend. Cost is an issue since I am a college student that recently had the...

Re: New owner questions

I will post pictures this week, but I have a few more questions since diving into breaking stuff down and preparing everything for winter. The motor has sat for 2-5 years, as far as I can tell the outboard was winterized correctly. I was wondering what the steps should be in the spring to get her ru...

Re: Trailer Brake problem

This may sound like a really stupid question but when you need to do major work on the trailer what should be done about the boat. I do not have a slip where I can keep it, and I have no experience blocking a boat up.

Re: Trailer Brake problem

Okay I think I may replace the entire coupling. The whole unit is pretty banged up. I will get photos up soon but looks like I will have a busy spring to get the boat ready. Thank you for you input it is a huge help.

Re: New owner questions

I was looking at walmart batteries I figured that would be the most pocket friendly option. I also was figuring I would try to bleach and worse case replace them. I took photos today I will post when I am allowed to.

Should I try to bleed the system and see any leaks? Also i need to move it from its current location would ...
