Re: "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated"

Interesting tidbit buried in the comments:
Tattoo Yachts: "We would not resume production of the prior 26, but after the Tattoo 22 is in full production we will very likely offer a new Tattoo 26 along the same lines. There is definitely a place for both sizes in the trailerable sailboat market!"

Re: Sealing Windows with 3M VHB Heavy Duty & Dow Corning 795

You can use 3M 5200, but it's a pain to remove if you ever have to later on - that being said, I did use it on my windows and they're still l...

Mick, I deleted your duplicate posting. The reason this one was delayed in appearing is that all initial posts by new members need to be approved by an admin before they'll appear (and we're not constantly watching the forum!). This prevents spam and noxious postings from appearing in the forum.

Re: A Mac with optional equipment

I prefer the older models. They require a bit more lubrication, but they run quieter, longer and more smoothly, plus they require far less regular maintenance and upkeep.

Re: Fuel tanks?

Kevin (kmclemore) is one that I know of that has a fuel cell mounted in his aft berth. There are threads on the subject in the archives. Yes, I do indeed. 18 gallons below decks. Keeps the weight low in the boat (better balance), frees up the lockers in the cockpit and I don't have to shuffle tanks...

People, The guy with the most credible history, knowledge on the subject of polishing a boat or a car is Kevin. He made a living by restoring some very expensive vehicles. I have seen two of the cars, and when it comes down to asking for advice on this subject, he would be my go to guy. Ray Ha! Wel...

I just use a buffer, wool bonnet and some 3M buffing compound. They come out great.

When it's full of water the Zodi Shower is pretty heavy and unlikely to topple over in lightly rocking seas. In heaver seas I'd hold onto it or skip heating it until it becalms.
