That's going to look sweet John. Remember no cutting big holes in your boat any time soon. We want you to join us for a sail or two this summer.

Re: Great Sailing location

Sounds great ....it is beautiful down there. We can use the wall as a base or the outer harbour marina . I know there's a launch ramp at ashbridges Bay but I don't know about overnight parking.

Re: T Minus 20 days and counting!

I'm one of those trailer sailors and I launched at Lakeview Promenade this past Sunday afternoon. Perfect weather to see if everything works. Water was like glass for the most part but I still put up the sails to see if I needed to make any repairs. I always like to take it out at least once in Apri...

Re: Replacing the Fuel Line

I agree with Niceaft ...very important component...buy quality. I discovered last year that the bulb had cracked and was leaking gas. In hindsight I couldn't believe that after 7 years I didn't change it out earlier. I discovered the leak during a day sail, if it happened while out for a few days th...

I feel fortunate to be in the background of a celebrity sailor's photo (right over his left shoulder  )

Re: Main Halyard aft ... like a Cat!

I put this mode in and found it an easy install and works well. I put another swivel cam block on the port side of the mast too for the jib halyard. I chose a hank on jib because I trailersail a lot. I hank on the jib at the launch ramp, snug the sheets and when I'm on the water I head into the wind...

Make sure you save one for me. John you're always good at sniffing out the good deals. It will be interesting to see what the attendance will be considering how weak the Canadian dollar is right now.

Re: Launch/Dock checklist?

I set up for launch a lot and things usually go well 99% of the time. This past weekend when I launched at Lagoon City to meet up with Beene I went to raise the mast, as I cranked maybe 2 or 3 turns the mast veers to the side and falls onto the starboard life along the cockpit. I immediately checked...

new spinnaker

http://vid298.photobucket.com/albums/mm252/dreamerbucket/IMG_0530.mp4 I finally tried out my spinnaker at the latter end of MMOR with the encouragement of Beene. I was a little nervous because I didn't have a snuffer. I ended up using the main to sheild it from the wind when I was done. It worked w...

Re: MMOR Ontario Canada 2015 Mac Meet July 20-27 Port Credit

Hey Russ you motored by me when you were motoring west... I was sailing south. On my way back towards port credit I noticed a police boat beside a white M, I was wondering what was going on. There has been a lot more police presence on the water since pan am games began... Toronto, Peel, RCMP and Co...

Re: MMOR Ontario Canada 2015 Mac Meet July 20-27 Port Credit

Well I should be there this afternoon. drove down to visit Beene last night. I don't think I've ever seen his boat so clean! Beautiful evening. Did the wind let up? Nice to get away from that humid weather.
