Looks like the stern light is on the top of the mast. Never seen that before.

Hmmmm...that is different from mine, but I have no idea which one is stock, or if either one is stock. I will post some pictures later.

Looks like PO might have put that small square plate on mast top for light?? Venture 222 mast extrusion is Sparcraft S104. Contact Blue Water Yachts in Seattle. They specialize in Venture/Mac stuff. If you can get two and put one on the bottom. Keeps birds from building nests inside

. I replaced Freedom mast top plate with "chicken head" which allows halyards to be run internally. Good Luck. Fair Winds and Full Sails...Old Salt.

jkfinity can you take a picture of the front of your mast so I can see the bracket for the forstay? Mine looks like something that a previous owner may have rigged up

Thanks for the picture. I guess my forstay bracket is the proper one... it seems super chincy but I guess that's all a small boat like this needs
