What tanks are people using. I have two of the 22 litre Evinrude ones but want some more capacity. The dimensions of all the 45 litre ones around are bigger than that of the tempo 45L ones that used to be recommended for the M. These
http://www.biasboating.com.au/45_Litre_ ... p/5041.htm look like they may just fit but I'm not sure. Dimensions are a little bigger than the Tempo ones I think.
I was thinking of two side by side, but don't want anything that is going to stick out as the cockpit floor is small enough as it is on the M.
What are people using side by side. I saw in an old thread someone recommending these
http://www.biasboating.com.au/Hulk_Fuel ... p/7376.htm
but at 46cm they would still stick out a coupla cms wouldn't they?

Re: Fuel tanks
and in case anyone else is looking to upgrade their fuel capacity
I picked up a couple of those Hulk 22 litre tanks from whitworths:
https://www.whitworths.com.au/main_item ... lutePage=1
The evinrude fittings were an extra $10 bucks each.
Twin 22s are the best option for someone who mostly takes the tanks out of the boat to fuel up. They fit very well in the M fuel locker (much better than the evinrude ones). Just got to make up some straps now..

Re: Fuel tanks
We use two of the larger ones from bias and they really aren't a problem and don't protrude at the bottom just the top where the lid is curved, in fact less than the small ones you showed but you do need to modify the cap and relief valve as on a hot day they expand and push the lid up.
The smaller ones are easier to remove and fill but our larger ones are fixed and we either fill prior to launching or fill with the jerry cans with extra fuel carried in the dinghy on long trips, the larger type we can actually get 50l into when looking to carry maximum fuel but use a bit out of each asap.
Also those connectors you show we have had problems with as they tend to suck air or something where the proper factory one has no problems except the little bird tweeting noise as the tank heats or cools..

Re: Fuel tanks
mm okay thanks Bob. Better make sure I get some testing in with the new tanks and their cheap connections, before our planned two week trip in Hervey bay later this year....

Re: Fuel tanks
Yeah mate I had an intermittent problem but only using that type of connector on the fuel tank, if it happens now I give the connector a wriggle and pump the bulb up which usually fixes it but probably still some air in the system so not immediate.
