Wishful thinking. In case you guys have not figured it out yet - I am not an optimist, I am a pessimist. I think you guys are pretty smart because almost all of you figured out by now that I am always negative. It's part of my sarcastic "humor". Despite all references to Mr. Potato Head and my Avatar, I do not look like a pessimist in person, I just play one on TV. With all that in mind now I will try to give my most optimistic prediction for the future of any further M boat production:
If Roger becomes immortal and gets bored, there is a 50/50 chance the boat will come back.
That's the best I can do.

Here is a photo from the Montreal Salon du Bateau from yesterday. This dealer still has two T26's in stock, although the boat show will be running until the end of this week and I am sure they are hoping to sell out. This is the first time I see a Mac or Mac descendant at the show.
I liked the interior a lot: it looks a lot more yachtlike with nicer finishes. I did notice some not-so-nice areas in the blue gelcoat though.
I hate the curtain instead of the door on the head, and felt like the table was a bit smaller than the X...maybe just me. Definitely more room to move around down below.
For Mastreb (hopefully you're still around):
Nice boat! Not as much storage as I would have thought, though. An excellent daysailer I am sure, but looks a bit cramped compared to a 38 foot cruiser.

I'm still lurking
We're exceptionally happy with the O38, but I really am at a bit of a loss to mod it. It's quite comfortable inside. The cockpit is giant, which moves the cabin forward, and the mast is a few feet aft so the salon is definitely shorter than a standard 38. With the open bulkhead, it works, without it it does feel cramped.
Almost no storage, which the Admiral has no end of fits about. 3rd cabin and the shower are where we store things.

That's what I was thinking. The website photos show a suitcase for storage. I thought that made it look like a weekender.mastreb wrote:Almost no storage, which the Admiral has no end of fits about. 3rd cabin and the shower are where we store things.

It's a beautiful boat. But storage does seem to be lacking.

It has less available storage than a 26M. They pushed out everything to make the interior a large as possible. The under-seat storage in the Salon is taken up by the water system, and the space under the berths is occupied by the fuel and water tanks.

Re: Tattoo 26 Production Suspended, factory relocating
FYI
The new T22 hull is very close to the hull design with hard chines & all with exception to the sharp vertical bow entrance , which u see in a lot of the new sail boat racing designs , Mmm maybe not so new as some of u think , which makes u wonder just how far ahead Roger was in hull design on everyone else !! . never could figure out why he stop making that Hull would have been perfect for a 26ft powersailor , but my understanding is the design @ that time was too much labour consuming cost wise & for a few hundred dollars more he could make the & sell for twice as much money $$$$ just made for good business sense , , it is a sweet hull design & when heeled over the sharp hard chine cuts in & keeps the boat running more true running in a deep V
