I bought the IDA rudders after my OEM rudders were damaged while the boat was on a mooring :( . I'm very happy with them.
The boat doesn't stall out as readily with the IDA rudders.
Transfer the rudder stops from the OEM rudders to the new ones. You may have to adjust the stops so the new rudders are verticle.

Ok ....well rudders are installed
Points noticed from start of project:
Rudders are solid material similar to marineboard
New rudders weigh in at about 16.2 lbs each----old rudders are about 10.5 lbs each
larger but not longer The foil shaped area seems to be thicker
They float
I went out today for about an hour and they do seem to be a little more efficient and "smoother" feel, I can not say it feels drastically different
(my Musclehead was a definate noticeable improvement on first sail)

It did seem to point a LITTLE higher but not signifigantly
They did seem to "bite" a little more when a gust hit and did not round up as easily
I think this was a worthwhile install but may take a few more trips in different conditions to evaluate fully
