Tattoo 26 Stern Rail Seats
Does anyone know of a source for Stern Rail Seats for the Tattoo 26?
Its stern rail is different than the MacGregor 26M.

Re: Tattoo 26 Stern Rail Seats
You may want to give Dowsar a call. They are located in Hamilton, Ontario and they have stern rail seats for both the and the , so they have some sort of supplier. They ones for the are different than those that come from BWY. I'd be curious to see which ones people prefer because the BWY cost about $400 less. There probably are some members here that have Dowsar stern seats.
This is the Dowsar website: http://dowsar.com/. This is a link to their seat photo: http://dowsar.com/images/openseat_l.jpg

The Dowsar Stern rail seats r away larger & more comfortable bigger seat base than the BWY also I beleive the bwy ones use a wooden seat base !

Dowsar apparently has a T26 in stock. So it is just a matter of time until they have the stern rail seats available, if they don't already.

No wooden bases on the M seats. Some kind of white hard plastic similar to a cutting board but harder.

I don't mind the size of the rails on the bwy seats they just need a bigger seat (white plastic base). You can only really sit straight up which doesn’t work so well when heeled over. If the bases were bigger you could lean further back and not have your a$$ slide of the seat.

Re: Tattoo 26 Stern Rail Seats
The Dowsar stern seats appears to work with their full enclosure. I imagine the BWY's do as well? Do they both work with just a bimini?
I'm considering this mod for next year, but the bimini and the potential for a future full enclosure might weigh in in deciding which system to get.

Re: Tattoo 26 Stern Rail Seats
The bwy stern rail seats will work with the larger bimini. I guess they make a small and a large one. We have the larger one with the full enclosure. I won’t lie, with the enclosure on you can’t really sit in the rail seats. Little kid’s maybe but it’s just not that comfortable. They do work great for a place to set the rum and snacks on though, and with the enclosure on things won’t go swimming.
Either way the seats are worth it

My Dowsar stern rail seats are very comfortable to sit on even with the full enclosure up here's Rocky "Dreamer" having one of my beers relaxing while we were waiting on Geoff "Beene" to arrive

Hey John it was nice to see those videos from the 1st MMOR, and as always you're a good sport for posting us towing you . The stern seats are great to have whether at the dock or underway. The built in drink holders are useful too.
