reinstall Plastimo flexible tank

Post by kurz » Fri Feb 22, 2019 1:34 am

I want to mount my 200l tank (plastimo flexible) below the cockpit again.
Where is the best place to make the connections?
There is a connection at the top and a connection at the bottom.
Which one is better for the inlet and which for the outlet?
I used to fill the top and remove the bottom.
Maybe it would be better to take the water out at the top? Since the removal makes an increase, it may be difficult to empty it completely if it is at the bottom of the tank.
What are your experiences?

I have a 200 litre in my 26x in the starboard bilge locker under dining room seat. If I remember correctly the top connection is a much larger diameter than the bottom as that is for the fill hose and the bottom is for the output to water system. I don't think you would get any draw using the top connection as you need the pressure of the water in the bag to force out the bottom ...even with a electric pump which is what I have...
