Hello all

But on my I store 2 anchors including the 35m rope in the anchor locerk:
I have 2 Jambos, 8kg and another Jambo 11kg.

Re: A few random questions
we are up here in the PNW of canada. we have deep, narrow anchorages with every type of bottom, round rocks, pea gravel, mud, sand, silt, lots of grass and kelp.
best anchors i have found are a plow anchor, they seem to hold really well in all bottoms
- i got my 25# plow anchors for $50 canadian a piece, i bought 3. was either west marine, or western marine- iirc it was the latter.
built an anchor roller and it sits in that, with 50' of 3/8 chain and 200' of 1/2" rode- that fit well in the locker.
i carry a second similar setup down below- as i prefer to use a bahamian moor when anchoring up here
and then a stowed third anchor with just 200' of rode no chain.
its tough anchoring up here with 5-7 kn currents, and super high winds.
anchor balls, as mentioned are a great help. i also use a small, inflatable orange float and about 50' of crab line on the anchors head- that will save you from having to cut away a stuck anchor.
and let others know where your anchor is , so others dont anchor over your setup

Re: A few random questions
but be warned, anchor questions are the proverbial, forum rabbit hole
we all have different ideas and opinions on the matter.
personally, i would rather have more anchor , and full nights of sleep. But of course this all depends on your conditions, weather and time of year etc
and each to their own at the end of the day
