So is the purpose to direct you to a scam website? (Yachts for sail )
It's worded strangely. That's always a red flag.
And the lister is obviously not the owner else he would know for sure weather or not it be been vandalized.

Not 100% its a scam but im sure he's not going to meet face to face and take $3400 for THAT :macm:

Just went to the site and it is listed there. Maybe it is legit, i dunno. I do know i have seen it on this site. The graphics stand out to make it one of a kind. Just thought i would post it up and maybe the owner would chime in.

It just so happens that an indian sounding attorney called me yesterday - turns out I have a rich relative that passed recently and left me 2 million dollars. It is only going to cost me $5000 for the proper documents to be filed. I'm going to wire the money today and the 2 million should be in my account in a few days. I'm so excited!! I'm not new, but pizza for the whole forum will be on me when this payday hits!

Well you all guessed right... it is a scam, someone stole my pictures and created a phony post to take advantage of STUPID people.
I'm going to try to contact Craig's list and have it taken down - or maybe they can catch the guy ??

I'll repost what I find out.

Thanks' for the watchful eyes that spotted this...

The good news is the boat is in Perfect Shape! Even better news (for some lucky person) is I have put the boat up for sale :o
Probably where the scammer got the pictures: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2012- ... om-684401/
This Macgregor is better than any new one built. But time to move on to other projects!

I have an idea. It is kind of hard to be done. But...
How about organizing on this site some kind of depository, a database where you can track past ownership and past-names of MacGregors. After all there is a finite number on the market. This might curb some guys appetite for fraud.

I've seen on some sites that sell farm tractors, the owner puts a large plaque in the pic that has his phone number on it. Makes it harder to post the pics as their own.

Something to consider.

Others post a big watermark across the pic. You could photoshop it out if you had the time, skill, and inclination, but like outboard locks or big dogs, it might be enough to discourage the lazy thieves so they'll move on to the easier one.
