sailing simulator

Postby DaveC426913 » Tue Oct 10, 2017 10:50 am

I did a bad thing. I tried a demo of Sailing Simulator 5. I got to bed at 230AM.

I don't like its choices of boats - they're all either lasers or cats. Anyone have any sailing sims that reflect a boat more in the trailer sailor range?

Have you tried Sailaway? I picked it up on steam. A lot of potential.

I gave it a looksie. Their site doesn't seem to go into much detail about the sim itself.
I'd want to check out the list of boats. Obviously I want to find something close-ish to my Mac.

When talk of sailing simulators begins appearing on these forums then truly one realizes...

As for me, the only sailing simulator I ever tried was that old Clinton-Era freebie Virtual Sailor, and that was chiefly because it actually offered an Amphicar add-on. Still, if you're OK partying like it's 1999, it's all right here free for the downloading. Mondo Primitivo though it may be graphics-wise, at least compared to what I see of my kid in the basement engaged in his eternal quest for the Sacred Toothbrush of Hytopia or whatever, it's still a damned sight slicker than Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards,, probably the last computer game I spent any real time goofing around in.
