Forestay/Sidestay height placement on an X
So I'm ready to rig the new mast (previous one was cut 3' short by PO) I have all my cable, ferrules, and other hardware... I'm ready to transfer the mast hardware over now. One thing I noticed in searching pics is that the forestay/side stay height seems to be about 3' or so down the mast. On my shortened mast, everything was at the top... the fore, back and side stays were all up there. Is there a particular "sweet spot" the headstay tangs attachment should be mounted?

Re: Forestay/Sidestay height placement on an X
I guess while I'm at it I need to know how high the mounts for the baby stays should be. So I'm looking for two numbers here: Where should the forestay mount be and where should the baby stays mount be? I have the other hardware, spreader bars, cleats, gooseneck, etc mounted and ready... just need to get the actual rigging done. T
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

I just measured my , as it is rigged in my driveway.
The forestay is mounted 48" down from the top of the mast. The babystays are attached 67.5" from the bottom of the mast.
