Re: Using boarding ladder as towbar
When we tow with our 26m(we have stern rail seats),we hook the tow bridle to a shockle, and clip the carabiner to the mounting stanchion. Works well, and the schockle reduces the stressfrom the dinghy, particularly in rough water.

It was a great trip, only our second time out in the boat. We would highly recommend both Priest/Upper Priest in Idaho and Kootenay in Canada to anyone.SkiDeep2001 wrote:Sum, sounds like you and Ruth had a great tripHow about a few more pics of the Studebaker next time.

Sumner, your blog on that trip is fantastic. You have some fantastic photos. I must take our Mac there someday.Sumner wrote:It was a great trip, only our second time out in the boat. We would highly recommend both Priest/Upper Priest in Idaho and Kootenay in Canada to anyone.

Re: Using boarding ladder as towbar
Hi Guy's
I do not know about the other Macs but would have to think their all the same knowing Roger . Theirs not much support back under their just small 3/8 washers I'd be adding some starboard or cutting board mateirail with some big SS body washers so as not to stress out the transome if theirs any curverture at these points just heat up the cutting board with a electric heat gun as you tighten them up this is what I done when I mounted my rear arch mounts just above the same location
Some very nice mods & Idea's

Re: Using boarding ladder as towbar
Boarding ladders are a dealer add-on so they can be in any location - Ive seen at least 4 variations on the
ladder alone...
