Any Opinion on BWY etal Spreader Tip

Post by Rockabill »

I am considering the above and would welcome any feedback on these. My 2007 26m is fitted with stock (aluminium body with plastic end pieces) spreader tips. on the stock item the 2 set screws are quite small and I would not wish to over tighten these. On two occasions within two months I have had the stay wire come out of the groove on the spreader tip and rub against the set screw causing the stay to fray. Is the BWY tip a solution?

Highlander,

Thanks for your reply. I will make an enquiry to Dowsar.

I spoke to BWY today, they advise their spreader tips are the stock factory item!

I also replaced the plastic one on my Mac25 with BWY aluminum ones. No problems yet. They are nice to have because you can ensure they are tight enough to hold the shroud nice and tight and keep the spreaders at the correct angle to the shroud to maximize the stabilizing effect.
