throttle cable

Post by Jim »

Greetings all..the throttle cable on my x had a parting of the ways this weekend, so need to replace it.I have a 9.9 Nissan on mine, and as near as I can figure without having the cable out yet, I think its about 12 feet. I changed the gear cable a couple of years ago , but can't recall ,or find the invoice for. how long a cable I bought. But there is no doubt in my mind that the good sailors on here will know..Fair winds..Jim in Canada

Check the old cable. There is a number imprinted on it (if it is a Teleflex cable)- part of that number (the last digits I believe) are the length of the cable. The rest of the number is the part number.
