Outboard comparisons, including small ones?

It seems hard to find websites comparing the peformance of larger engines for the 26 or smaller engines for a dingy

Mercury compares the performance of the merc bigfoot and yamaha hithrust to evinrude and suzuki 60s at, on the same boats, see

and if you go back in that same site you kind find similar comparisons for the smaller prop versions of the 60s

both show the 2stroke worse for fuel economy but speeds not all that different, except that in general the big prop versions (bigfoot or highthrust) seem better for big slow boats like the mac (or pontoon boats, which also have a lot of windage and benefit from the bigger props)

poking around the merc site, you can also find performance for other size engines on either pontoon boats (more similar to the mac in speed) or other boats. those thinking of the smaller motors for the merc might find some useful comparison info there

if you move around the country a lot, having so many merc and yamaha dealers everywhere is a consideration, one of the main ones that prompted me to buy the yamaha hithrust, with which I am happy, though if you believe the website comparison, the merc is a bit faster

cant find any such comparisons for 2-4 hp portables for dinghies though. anyone else know of any?
am thinking of a merc 3.5 due to weight and low cost, only a bit (10 pounds) heavier than the honda 2
anyone already have experience with merc 3.5, or comments on other light dinghy motors you think might be better?
