So a blue hull will look faster when its moving towards us but slower then its actual speed when its moving away.
... and yep, I did get myself a Mac because I honstly need to get out more
Heh--My motorcycle is named "blushft" for this reason (and because it's blue). Sadly I get a lot of questions about what "blush foot" is supposed to mean
I would have to say definitely get the blue. I spend WAY too much time chatting with random passers-by about how beautiful my white boat is when I'm trying to rig on the hard before and after putting in.
Took my blue hull up to the lake yesterday, all shined up and ready for the slip for the summer. Two laddies come out of the convenience store while I was topping off the gas tanks and told me what a beautiful boat I had and I have heard that other times. The novice that I am I probably wouldn't win any races with whatever I had, But those comments sure make you feel good.

That's cuz they were so surprised at the speed at which the slick blue hull (which I believe another post proved scientifically becomes one with the surface layer of the water due to its color, thereby eliminating boundary layer friction) appeared from virtually nowhere and was overtaking them, that they were instantly compelled by the hypnotic effect of the glowing light radiating from the sides to snap a picture before it slipped past and out of sight.
Beh i dunno what scares me more about that yellow boat. That they felt a in my book practically new boat needed an overhaul or that the project came about due to a bilge full of water. Was it something like, ohhh ho hum guess ill bail the boat...no on second thought lets do a fifteen hundred dollar refit??
When i took delivery of my boat she had a bilgefull of oceanwater because the guy who sold her to me forgot to put in the vent plug! They dont mention the type of paint, but i would be very reluctant to use anything but two part poly.
And i would NOT paint the inside.
If you did the prep work, you could probably get the hull sprayed for about a grand.
