My new Mac

Post by wincrasher26 »

I picked up my new Mac last weekend at the dealer in Atlanta.

It was not exactly ready to go, but they got it cleaned up and installed the VHF radio that was left out. The head was the wrong size, so they took that out and ordered me the bigger one.

While all this was going on, we sat down and went over how to put things together, etc. We did not go out and physically put up the mast, etc. - the day was getting late and it was blazing hot.

I'm doing that this Saturday. I want to put up the mast, boom, the genoa on the furler, and run all the lines - sitting in the driveway. Then take it all down, bundle it all up and head to the lake on Sunday.

I still have loads of stuff to unbox and put in the boat - the new head, toolkit, cooker, fenders, lines, anchor, lifejackets, etc. So Saturday should be a full day!

Did the dealer mention that the newest owner has to buy the pizza? :P

Boy, we've been eating a lot of pizza lately. :D Not that I'm complaining, especially since I don't have to buy.

Enjoy, makes me remember when we picked up our new Mac 26M, and took it on it's 8 hour trip back home. And spending the first few nights on it, anchored out on next to an island enjoying a beautiful sunset. Remember the great memories you are making, they need to last a lifetime.
