Uni-Titanium Liteskin sails
Any thoughts/impressions of the new "Uni-Titanium Liteskin sails?
"While Uni-Titanium is our most expensive line of sails, these grand prix sails hold their trimmed shape perfectly while being the lightest and strongest sails we make. On the water, results show they are not only fast, but they last."

Re: Uni-Titanium Liteskin sails
This is like the Solar thing - no sooner than I got educated and started building my system the entire industry changed with technology that provides way more watts per panel than you could get even a year ago - but - of course - you need different charge controllers and so forth.
Same thing with batteries - after going through the GEL and AGM phase now I am purchasing LITHIUM! The Lithium batteries cost twice as much but put out 10% more energy and last 100 times longer!
BWY just got me going on Mylar - now this? Okay, so I have calmed down now.
All right,
How Much?

BOAT,
Before you start ranting “How Much!” again, the sails are made in the U.K. Think big dollars. The address I posted is Canadian. The sail may or may not be made in Canada.

Re: Uni-Titanium Liteskin sails
It says
Available with:
- Reefs
- Loose Foot
- Cunningham
- Telltales
- Draft Stripes
- Sail Numbers
- Leechline
You would think with all those options they would have a price.

Re: Uni-Titanium Liteskin sails
They look a little oxidized in the picture like my black stripes. If I have to buff and wax then I'm out...no way. Anyway just put new sails (main and jib) on from BWY this fall. Like dropping a V8 is a VW.

Re: Uni-Titanium Liteskin sails
no, the mylar was for the furling genoa - that's what i was thinking - but i still have no decided on the main yet - i thought a slightly narrower main out of this stuff might make the boat a little more tame in heavy weather
