Port window gasket

Post by Slaterstm »

I have a 1979 Macgregor Venture 25. It has original tinted glass windows and the gaskets are cracked so bad, when it rains, water leaks in. On the outside, there is an insert that spreads the gasket so it seals. I can not find any thing close to replace the gaskets. Anyone have any ideas short of installing new converted port windows?

Get a hold of Blue Water Yachts, located in the Seattle area of Washington.
They are the authorized dealer for Macgregor parts. Give them a call...

This is what I have used many times.

Then use butyl tape as the seal between the port frame and the boat.
