Auto Pilot fixed
Six years back I installed a Raymarine Smart Pilot 6002 on our boat. I really loved it, and missed it badly when it failed to work last year. Turned it on and after a short time, the control display went blank. I checked the fuse and it was blown. New fuse wouldn't hold, however. Turns out, I was getting power to the drive motor, but the motor had failed. That was causing the fuse to blow. I contacted Raymarine and got a very helpful tech, who pointed me toward an online repair manual, which showed the steps in accessing the motor. With part number in hand I was able to order a new motor. Easy to install, and it now works fine. I'm looking forward to using it once again on the cruise around Vancouver Island.

Wow, all the way around the island?? I wish I had you as a guide - I would like to try that but I am too scared.
