'View from the other side would be more obvious, but now understood ... 'another X-boat owner mistake in not knowing how the M is built. Our X-boat chainplates are further back from the nose.

Since we had the unfortunate luck to have a shroud snap last season, we decided not to put all our trust in the furler and rigged up a second line "just in case".

Only if the extra forestay is not ajd right it should not be so tight as to prevent mast bend only tight enough to support the mast rigging my adj backstay on a traveler easly bends my mast also the rigid vang
I can attach up to 5 forestays on my cutter rig set-up :) :P :wink:
