Absolutely no wish to go to the bay of Fundy, one of our daughters spent 6 months there some years ago, it's cold enough here right now at 4 deg c in the mornings and am really peed off that we are still here but only a couple of days and it will be mid 20's :D
Bay of Fundy think thats the highest tides and Derby on our west coast is almost the same with 11m but the Cambridge Gulf in the Kimberlies (9m) also is a bit treacherous as all the water gets forced through a narrow gully and you really get flying, pretty hairy especially with all the rocks around but it is over 60m deep in the middle.

I have limited experience bar crossing, but one thing I can say is, particularly on the last one which was big waves (not breakers though), I was sort of crapping myself. I distinctly remember working that throttle hard between the waves and thinking, "Man I wish I had more power right now :!: " Very hard to find Macs for sale in Oz with motors bigger than a 60, but if I had to cross bars all the time in the boat, I'd deffinately want one with a 90 myself...

I had a huge Gin Palace overtake me in the Southport broadwater once and thought I was going to broach on its bow wave..
Mind you, she didnt broach so maybe thats irrelevant....

She aint the most fun boat in a following sea, so I imagine wont be too nice with 10 foot breakers up your butt either, unless you have enough power.....

Came into the mouth of the Mary River not sure whether it classifies as a bar but it's fairly fast, rough and choppy, we were almost out of fuel and weren't quite sure whether we would make it but had little choice and was really peed off when we found that there was no fuel locally even though it was shown on whatever literature I had at the time.
