I've watched the website, so far the Tattoo 26 looks like a rebadged version of the most recent 26M, I would've expected a few cosmetic changes for the changeover to a new model. The Tattoo 22 looks interesting too, just wish there was some sort of picture of the interior layout.

If you look carefully there are actual changes, though I agree they may appear subtle. Note, for instance, the pre-installed washdown hose in the transom opening.

Just throwing it out to grab it up. And redirect/merge with this one?

I noticed in all of the pictures of the 26 they seemed to go out of their way to not show the steering pedestal. I suspect they will replace it with the one they are making for the 22.
Also noticed the grab handles on the stern (which I do NOT like).

LOL as long as it doesn't become the Mustang II.

Anyone notice the bunks on the trailer? They are perpendicular to the axel. It also looks like there may be a roller or something extra under the bow.

I think you'll find it's already owned by the owner of Macgregorsailors.com.
We've been discussing this... stay tuned... |

I tried it before but looked to be a search page. Just throwing the idea out before someone else did it.

Bunks in line with the boat?? UGH!!, had those on the last boat - WHAT A PITA!
When the boat is on long boards it can settle any which way on the trailer as you pull out of the water - so you almost NEVER get the boat level coming out of the water with long boards.
Been there Done that - don't like it. With the old boat it would always settle a little crooked - what a PITA! (I hate those kinds of trailer boards).
That was one of the best improvements on the M trailer was the deep V guides that forced the boat level as you pulled it up on the trailer - Roger even mentioned that in his list of improvements between the X and the M! I can't believe they took that out!
I can only think of ONE reason to switch to long boards: so they can get rid of the internal rib.
Yes, you heard me right: If I open the rear dinette hatch on 'boat' where you see my hand above, there is a raised, lighter color area where you will see an extra support and a THICK layer of fiberglass almost 10 inches wide going all the way from side to side like a rib and they serve a purpose on the M - they help support the hull on the trailer and make it really strong so you can haul the boat long distances over rough roads. That wide rib sits right over the spot where the trailer V is:
And it's real wide (like 10 inches wide) and thick - like a third thicker than the hull and it looks like a wide 'bump' in the hull if you lift the rear dinette hatch in 'boat':
I suspect there is probably another one somewhere near the rear too, but I have not checked - but I noticed that one rib right off the bat the first time I opened the hatch.
I hope they don't plan to eliminate that to save weight. I like the ribs - I suspect they add weight, but I don't care.
