I know Roger said you
can use your Mac as an RV for dry camping and road trips, and he also said you can tow with a Taurus

. How many of you have tried road camping with the Mac and what were your thoughts /feelings on said trips?

I always camp in my 26M when doing 1000miles on the road.
The better you have stowed all your things inside.... The better for you.
Works perfect for me so far.
Hassle is:
Climbing up the bow on the trailer
Bouncing on top of the boat and balancing around the Mast, the Genoa, the boom, spreaders... Shrouds....
Pros: as far I have solar sells.... The fridge is working all time... So ice cold beer is waiting inside...

Check with RV parks if that's where you're planning on staying. Some don't allow that, or so I've heard.
But there always boondocking, which is just anchoring out in an RV, in essence. Or anchoring out in a boat in your case, on a trailer, pretending to be an RV, and without using an anchor.

But if you don't need electric or water or showers, you can always boondock. Like in Walmart parking lots (Wallydocking), or behind Cracker Barrel restaurants, which have a handful of long slots for RVs. Some states allow overnighting in rest areas and welcome centers (one's I've been at in Florida don't allow overnighting). And of course, travel centers (fancy name for Truck Stops) like Pilot/Flying J, Travel Centers of America/Petro, Love's, etc., though not all of them allow overnighting either.

We road camp all the time.
The problem we originally had was that with the mast in the carrier, we couldn't put up the full cockpit enclosure so rain, privacy and space were issues. Last year I bought an extended mast carrier that lifts the mast up high enough to put up the enclosure. That's gonna be huge.
Tomfoolery fabricated his own mast extender with a couple of spare parts that does the same thing, but I just bought one straight from BW Yachts. Had to give them measurements for custom length.
I cut an opening through the bimini/dodger connector piece, and I use this same opening for our anchor light (I don't like masthead lights for anchor lights because they get lost in the stars. I put a 12V socket on the pedestal and have an extendable pole-mount LED anchor light that we put in at night (and remind everyone that it's not a grab handle).

A photo from this spring...it was over 90F here in Montreal for the last two days: snow is all gone and long forgotten.

Just to reinforce what starscream said.
You can see the little flap in the bridge piece, just forward of the Bimini hoop.
In the Erie Canal.

We've made 4 cross country road trips with our Mac in tow, plus a couple of other trips over 1000 miles in length. Always camp in the boat. We get some strange looks when registering at RV parks. Park owner: "What kind of RV do you have?" Me: "Saiboat". Owner: "Really? That's a first." We tried staying at one RV park on our way to Baja, somewhere in southern Arizona and when I tried to check in, we were refused. Appears they didn't want the riff raff staying there in unconventional rigs, just the big mega motor homes and 5th wheels. We went next door and were welcomed. Problems are few. Be sure to chock your trailer wheels if you unhitch. What looks like level ground isn't always level, and it's disturbing to climb aboard after unhitching, and have the boat/trailer start rolling. I know. Also, leveling the boat can pose problems. Sometimes it's not possible to lower the jack wheel enough to level the boat so we could sleep in a level berth. I usually had to unhitch the boat and in extreme cases, had to dig a hole for the jack wheel to lower into, so I could level the boat.
