Genoa Advise Wanted

I need a 150 genoa to go with a roller furling system on a 98x. Any recomendations? Costs?

I just went through the same thing. I spoke with the guys at BWY and thouroughly went through all the sails they offer for the 26X. The factory Genoa 150 is a 4 oz.. Nice and light and great in light air. Too light to add UV protection as the sunbrella will hurt sail shape. They make a custom 5 oz. that is just a bit heavier but still a little light to recomend a uv strip. A bit heavier to handle and shape in light air as well. Next is the 5.5 oz. which comes with a uv protected dacron strip that will be even heavier. The 6 oz. is for costal cruising and heavy air. I went with the 4 oz. cause I already have a jib sock and I really don't need to fight a heavy sail in light air.

Just a note
The 150 needs a longer furling line. But the drum may not hold all the line.
I am down to a six mm line now and it still fills the drum.
Had a bigger line and decored about 10 feet per instructions of rigging shop. It broke after a few uses. It sucks having a 150 out in 20 knt winds and not have a way to get it furled. Going foward with that big sucker flaping will beat the tar out of you.
