Know this yacht??
Anybody know of a small yacht(about 22-24 ft ) that does not have a mast or boom but only a roller furler with the sail extending to the cockpit.
Saw one at the London boat show but can't find the brochure I picked up.
The roller furling seemed to be self standing???? It seemed to be a great concept.

Don't believe everything you read, Balu, since mine is an X, yours an M .... Considering Roger's low-bucks strategy, I'm not sure how else they might approach the valve design. IIRC, there's at least a substantial thickness of fiberglass laid-in behind that valve .... (but, your mileage may vary!) ...

Mine are just tapped directly into the fiberglass, so it's important to treat them gently. :) Could this be a cause of the problem. How much holding strength can there be with the size of threads used ? There is probably more strength in the sealer compound around the valve, or am I wrong. My damn ...

Transom valve leak
I have water dripping out of the seal around the external ballast valve. I would like to re-seal it.Does anybody know if the 4 screws holding the valve to the transom have nuts holding them or if they are tapped into the glass.I can't get my hand in to feel.

Must be great swimmers in Oklahomacraiglaforce wrote:Heck, they don't even use VHF here in Oklahoma.
You can leave the VHF on 16 all day long and not a peep. Not even a radio check.
DSC is well established now in the UK that any VHF sold, has to have DSC and all marine radio courses include DSC training.
