Leaking front windows on the 26M
My front looking windows are extremely leaking. I put a beat of silicon around them and that stopped most of it. The real fix is obviously to take the windows out and completely reseal them. Here are my questions for all of you that did that repair before: • Are the 4 screws holding each wind...

26M sink faucet
I need to replace my faucet in my 2008 26M
Has anybody any positive or negative experience (i.e. leaking or not holding prime) with the replacement sold by BWY?
Thank you for your opinions

When the rust grows
We discovered very heavy rust-damage inside the trailer tongue on our 2008 trailer. We had these mods done, in preparation for our trip to the B.E.E.R. Cruise in Pensacola, FL. Not trusting it for another 900+ miles, we had Renz trailers build us a new tongue from larger, galvanized steel-tubi...

Re: 26M steering rod end bearings
@ Tomfoolery, Yes, the end-pieces are stainless and are sold by McMaster-Carr. I made the tube-inserts from aluminum stock, turned to size and cutting the threads for the end-pieces. The thread is fine enough, to adjust your rudders perfectly parallel, if you shim the rudders on each side with 1/16t...

Re: 1983 Macgregor 25 Sailing capabilities?
@jollyroger47, We sailed our 26M several years on San Francisco Bay, out of San Raffael and later out of Ballena Bay. The SFB is a great venue to get your feet wet in the Mac and build your own confidence and experiences. We sail now on the Florida West Coast, in the Gulf of Mexico, island hopping a...

Re: 26M steering rod end bearings
I turned and tapped the female inserts, they're glued in with the set-screw as safety.

Nothing beats the Navionics app, love the features.
The prices you're quoting are not for the app, they are for the chart-plotter charts.

Re: 26M steering rod end bearings
I made my rod-ends adjustable to get the rudders parrallel and take out some slop.

Re: "Sub $600 Autopilot" Progress
I've broke down last year on a sub $1000 offer for the new wheel-pilot and installed it. But I still think that Vic's drive-unit is a superior design and communicated to him that I would be more than happy to purchase his drive-unit, as an upgrade to my system, if he made it available. my $0.02 Obelix

Re: EV-100 Auto Pilot Install
Boat, thanks for the reply.
I'm using an official RM adapter cable, so there should be no wiring issue.
Do you use NEMA2000 or NEMA0183 for the actual communication?

Re: EV-100 Auto Pilot Install
Boat, I'm reading full of envy, how your chartplotter is communicating with the Raymarine backbone. :x My Lowrance is connected to the RM via a NEMA2000 to RM cable, but they just don't talk to each other. :( So, what's the secret Master? Do I need additional components? Merry Christmas and ha...

Re: EV-100 Auto Pilot Install
Boat, I think Capt. Victor is back to make progress on his system. He had emailed me, because he was replacing one of his earlier beta-systems and was asking if I wanted the older system. I suggested to him in a recent email communication to make his drive-mechanism, that in my opinion is the best o...
