New Boat Fiberglass Smell

Just curious if anyone else has noticed the same thing...... I have my 26M up for sale and during a showing last weekend a guy and his family who seemed very interested, were below decks and said "What's that smell?" I immediately thought "Oh Crap", (no pun intended) the kids had...

Re: How did you find your boat?

I found mine on this site http://jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?itm=macgregor&cat=cpboat . The site blends the regional Craigs List adds into a single list. It took about 4 months after I got serious about buying to find a boat in the price and travel range to find my :macx: . Fair winds, Dan nice ...

Re: Actually Hit 16.5 knots

Nowadays I am lucky if I can get 13-14 MPH but boat conditions are markedly different. I guess anything up to 20MPH is believable given favourable conditions but it can sound like a stretch to some folks who never see those speeds. :P Hey Terry, that's exactly why I named the thread the way I did. ...

Actually Hit 16.5 knots

I took a long weekend this week and after meeting all family obligations  I got the day to myself out on the water yesterday. I decided to experiment a little because usually I have the Admiral and two kids onboard. First, I sailed with no ballast in, I know several of you have done this alrea...

I've been wanting to do the opposite direction form Canaveral to New Smyrna on the outside and come back ...
