Any Mac owner's club/assoc in USA ?

Hi,

Currently Oz members are tossing around the idea of forming a Mac owner's Association in Australia. Has any of our Mac brothers across the seas ventured into this?? If so where / what are you and what do you do....

Re: Come on, Admirals - it's a new season

Clarissa, Nice to hear from you, I had almost given up on getting anyone to respond.. I didn't actually think that your sailing season was about to start as ours is about to finish. Although I sail all year round, we are about to enter Winter but I've heard that our winters here in Oz are not as col...

Re: Mac embroidered T-shirt

Clarissa, I would have to agree with you about the book- I haven't sewn for some time (it took many asks from the Captain for this T-shirt, eventually I'll get around to doing one for myself). I like Sci-fi/ fantasy either books or DVDs- the Captain and I are Star Trek/ Stargate tragics. I did read ...

Mac embroidered T-shirt

Ladies, Do any of you have a Janome/New Home embroidery sewing machine? I have used an old 8000 card of vehicles to embroider a yacht. Worked in the right colours it has an uncanny resemblance to that of a Mac, saggy forestay and all. I used blue for the hull  and left off the back stay- very ...

Re: If the captain falls overboard?

Clarissa, Great to hear from you. In an emergency, especially if you are on you own because Captain has managed to become incapacitated . You can always open the hatch, unhook the Main halyard and just 'dump' the main into the cabin. Not pretty but it's down and you have control!! Oh- and don'...

Cabin Decoration

Ladies, What have you done or found recently? I'll post a piccy of the T-Shirt I embroidered with a Mac in the next couple of days. I find that everytime I walk into my sewing room the Captain has an idea for another something - either a winch cover or motor cover or ??? with the exclamation "It won...

Re: If the captain falls overboard?

Thanks for that Stephen, What you outlined is pretty much what we do here is OZ.. Although I will say that if my Captain did go overboard he would have to have been doing something pretty dumb and I'm more inclined, That is if I stop laughing! ; To point to wind, start the motor, furl the jib, open ...

If the captain falls overboard?

Ladies, I know this subject is probably one of horror - What to do? I am confident I could retrieve said Captain- Has anyone been faced with this or even thought about it? In Australia we need to have a boat license to operate a power boat - I am thinking very seriously about getting my license. Doe...
